Michael Rothschild founded Profit Velocity Solutions to provide a new generation of information tools that would enable large, complex enterprises to dramatically enhance their profit performance.
Prior to launching Profit Velocity Solutions, Michael authored Bionomics: Economy as Ecosystem (view at Amazon.com). Published in six languages, The Wall Street Journal called Bionomics “Revolutionary… signaling a fundamental shift in the way people should think about economics.” Michael has been a keynote speaker on the rapid evolution of global economic competition at business, political, and academic gatherings around the world. His work has been featured in Forbes, The New York Times, The Economist, Fortune, The Financial Times, and Strategic Finance (economy-as-ecosystem.com).
During the pioneering days of the personal computer industry, Michael served as a senior marketing executive with WordStar, maker of the world’s first successful PC-based word processor. He began his business career with The Boston Consulting Group where he consulted to leading manufacturers on matters of competitive strategy and financial performance. Michael earned his law and MBA degrees simultaneously from Harvard.
Mark Shwert works closely with our management consulting partners to assure the successful implementation of our PV Accelerator™ solution.
In this role, Mark has overseen the set-up and configuration process for nearly one hundred clients worldwide across a broad range of industries including electronics, industrial parts, chemicals, and metals. His deep expertise includes a comprehensive understanding of the impacts that Profit Velocity economics have on complex manufacturing businesses. In addition to working with management consulting partners and their clients to assure excellent results, Mark is also involved in designing functional enhancements to the Company’s software solutions. Mark co-founded the Company and authored several of the Company’s patents.
Prior to joining Profit Velocity Solutions, Mark spent ten years with the Cambridge Meridian Group, a Boston-based management consulting firm, specializing in strategic planning for multinational firms undergoing rapid technological change. His work included revamping product mix and product line marketing strategies for client’s in the electronics and pharmaceutical industries. Mark earned his AB from Harvard College and his MBA from Dartmouth’s Amos Tuck School.
Tim Raven leads our management consulting and private equity business development activities leveraging his more than 20 years corporate finance and business strategy experience advising business owners and corporate executives on approaches to maximizing shareholder value.Tim has worked with both private and public companies ranging in size from middle market to Fortune 1000, and across a wide range of manufacturing industries including chemicals, metals, industrial, and consumer products.
Tim was formerly a Director with Ernst & Young Corporate Finance where he was responsible for advising on mergers and acquisitions transactions, restructurings, and for assisting clients in raising debt and equity in private capital markets. Earlier in his career, Tim held positions with Barclays Capital in its Mining & Metals Group and with Arthur Andersen.
Tim earned his B.A. Honors in History from the University of London.
Senior Vice President
Neil Carpenter leads our consulting and technology pursuits for our global commercial business activities. He has over 30 years of experience in leading top performing technology and consulting organizations. Neil has worked for manufacturing and technology organizations including Babcock & Wilcox, Aspen Technology, Rockwell Automation and IBM. His industry experience covers most all of the complex manufacturing companies in PV’s zone of expertise including the process industries, metals, industrial, paper, plastics and packaging.
A 30 year Houstonian, Neil earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
Executive Vice President
Jeff Mancuso leads operations across Profit Velocity Solutions leveraging 20 years of experience in the technology and consulting industry working for both large management consulting firms and small software startups. Jeff has helped many client companies solve crucial business problems that were holding them back from realizing full business potential. For emerging companies, he managed and built key organizational departments and processes around consulting/professional services, product management, solution engineering/pre-sales, customer success, business development, and product marketing.
Jeff was formerly a Manager at both Accenture and Deloitte where he focused on business process reorganization, post-merger integration strategies, and packaged software implementations. Jeff has also held various leadership positions in emerging technology companies. Jeff’s experience stretches across an array of industries including manufacturing, metals, specialty chemical, financial services, and consumer products.
A Pittsburgh native, Jeff holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He also earned an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business.
Ameet Kumar is responsible for all aspects of our software development. Ameet has 15 years of experience in software development, having worked for TCS (India), HCL Technologies (India), and Alphasoft Services (USA) before joining Profit Velocity Solutions.
Ameet is an expert in database technologies, holding numerous Oracle professional credentials in administration, application development and performance. He has led software development cycles on several successful projects, incorporating Project Management Principals and using Waterfall, Spiral, and Agile development philosophies.
Ameet earned his degree in Industrial Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, India’s premier technology institute.
ML Chao leads our activities in business development for all of Asia, leveraging over 35 years of experience in the electronics industry. He has worked with a number of multi-national corporations such as General Electric, Varta Batteries, Philips Components, Vishay Inc. in operational positions from manufacturing, engineering, logistics, production to product/sales and senior marketing management.
ML spent 10 years working in Hong Kong, China with the last 8 years in Taiwan as Vice President of Walsin Technology Corporation, a US$ 600 million electronic component manufacturer. Besides a wide base of manufacturing, operational and sales management experiences, ML also has several years of experiences in M&A activities.
ML graduated from Singapore Polytechnic in the field of Polymer Science and Technology with a post graduate diploma in Business Administration.
